Avery Jerome Corinthos is the daughter of mobsters Michael "Sonny" Corinthos Jr. and Ava Jerome. She was born October 31, 2014. She is the half-sister of Sonny's children Dante Falconeri, Michael Corinthos III, Kristina Davis-Corinthos, Morgan Corinthos, Lila McCall and Donna Corinthos as well as Ava's daughter Lauren "Kiki" Jerome. At the time of her birth, it was unsure if Sonny or his son Morgan was the father. Ava had been dating Morgan but had a one night stand with Sonny. Ava learned that she was pregnant a few months later. Ava revealed she was pregnant on the day that Sonny was going to her because she had murdered his girlfriend Constanza "Connie" Falconeri.
When Sonny learned that Ava was infact pregnant with either his child or grandchild, Sonny can't kill Ava. Sonny moved Ava into his house and vowed to kill her after she gave birth to the child. A very pregnant Ava escaped from Sonny's house and hid out but was found by Nina Reeves. Nina was the ex-wife Silas Clay, who is the father of Kiki. Nina hated that Ava had given birth to Silas's child when Nina had loses her child with Silas. Nina gave Ava a drug to cause labour.

Ava gave birth to her daughter who was delivered by Nina and her mother Madeline West. Nina and her friend Franco Baldwin kidnapped the newborn. Shortly after Avery's birth Sonny and Ava were arrested. Morgan and Kiki tracked Franco, Nina and Avery. Morgan and Kiki returned to town with Avery. A DNA test was done that revealed Sonny to be the father of the child. Ava named her daughter Avery after herself. With both Sonny and Ava in jail, custody of Avery went to Kiki. When Sonny was released from prison, Kiki haved over custody to Sonny. However, Michael who was angry at Sonny fought Sonny for custody of Avery and won custody.
For the next few months, Michael raised Avery with help from nanny Sabrina Santiago. After a few months, Michael realised that keeping Sonny from his child was wrong and handed custody back to Sonny. Ava also released from prison. Ava and Sonny are currently engaged in a custody battle.
